Rex Lee Times Three!

Saturday was the annual Rex Lee Run for Cancer here at BYU. This was our third time running the race together. While the first two times we completed the 10k, this year we ran in the 5k due to considerably less time spent training. It was odd running the abreviated course, but still fun to keep the tradition alive. Even though the weather had been beautiful the last two years, the transition to Spring has hiccuped this year, leaving us with cloudy conditions and a frigid 40 degrees to jog in. It actually snowed later in the day! All in all the run was a good experience. Next year we're going to win the entire thing!

Here we are before the start. It was early and we were feeling poorly so don't look too hard at us!

Austin with some of his co-workers. Their research advisor is the director of the BYU Cancer Research Center and is in charge of the Rex Lee Run. Austin's lab competed in the race against another professor's biochemistry researchers. Results are still pending...

Hardy-hearted sweethearts take part in race with late-spring start. Way to to, you're celebrating a third anniversary and you're not even married yet!
